Taliban orders Khost province residents to remove Afghan flags from homes

KABUL [Afghanistan], February 27 (ani): Taliban have ordered residents of Khost Province in Afghanistan to eliminate Afghan national flags (black, red, green) from their roof of their homes and their vehicles, local media, reported.

Residents of Khost Province only have three days to remove the flag, Khaama Press quotes the Chief of Taliban Province, Muhammad Prophet Omari who added that hanging the white flag of the Taliban was optional, the previous flag was no longer acceptable.

However, Zabiullah Mujahid, a Taliban spokesman previously said that the decision on the national flag or keep the previous flag has not been completed.
