Taliban BANS BBC, West Voice of American News in Afghanistan
The Afghan Taliban government has ordered BBC News Bullletins to be taken from the air, according to the British national broadcasters.
The BBC made an announcement on Sunday and said: “This is a worrying development during uncertainty and turbulence for Afghan people.”
Tarning the Kafala, which is the head of the language at the BBC World Service, said that more than six million Afghans consumed “Mandiri and journalism that did not take sides and impartial” and said that it was very important that they did not deny access.
We called the Taliban to reverse their decision and allowed our TV partners to restore the BBC news bulletin into their air immediately,” Kafala said in a statement tweeted by the BBC anchor and correspondent Yalda Judge.
German Deutsche Presse-Agentur News Assistance (DPA) quoted Afghanistan Media Company Moby Group said that the militant movement had also stopped broadcasting American votes (VOA) after order from the Taliban intelligence agency. DPA said that this was confirmed by a spokesman for the Ministry of Information and Culture Abdul Human Hammad.
Many journalists escaped from the country when the Taliban confiscated control in August 2021. Taliban’s journey to stop the international announcer from the operation came a few days after the group retreated on the decision to reopen women’s middle school.
The wire founder’s premise is this: if good journalism is to survive and develop, can only do it by becoming independent financially and financially.
