Pakistani soldiers killed in firing from Afghanistan: Military

At least five Pakistani soldiers have been killed in a border position by shooting from neighboring Afghanistan, said Islamabad on Sunday, in such a second attack since the Taliban came to power last August.

The Tehreek-e-Taliban (TTP) group has increased the attack since the group runs unilaterally from the ceasefire agreement for months – browned by the Afghan Taliban – in early December after accusing Islamabad not fulfilling his promise.

Militants from within Afghanistan across the international border opened fire on Pakistani forces in Kurram Regency, “Wing Military Media Pakistan, Ispr, said in a statement on Sunday.

“Pakistan strongly condemns the use of Afghan land by terrorists for activities against Pakistan and hope that the government while Afghanistan will not allow behavior of such activities to Pakistan, in the future,” he said.

The army added it to be rewarded, causing severe victims, but independent confirmation was not immediately possible because the districts along the border of the Afghan mountains were out of bounds for journalists and human rights organizations.

According to his promise, the Taliban government must stop cross-border militants such as that,” Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad, Pakistani interior minister, said in a statement.

The Afghan government denied the shooting came from the Afghan region.

“We convince other countries, especially our neighbors, that no one will be allowed to use Afghan land against them,” Bilal Karimi, Deputy spokesman for the Afghan Taliban government, told Reuters.
The incident came a day after Pakistani troops said at least 20 rebels and nine soldiers were killed in three operations after the rebels carried out attacks on two army poles in Balochistan Province. Wednesday’s twin attack was claimed by the Balochistan Liberation Army.

Founded in 2007, this movement is most famous for the 2014 attack at a school in Peshawar which killed nearly 150 children.

In response, Pakistan conducted a devastating crackdown in armed groups, forcing fighters hiding in Afghanistan.

TTP and Islamabad approved the ceasefire in November which was brought by the Afghan Taliban. But it fell for a month later.
