Afghanistan: The Taliban raises a new Army unit named ‘Panipat’, calls a lot to move to Iren
Afghanistan under the Taliban government will now have a special military unit called ‘Panpat’ – a clear reference for the third historical panipat battle (1761) where the Afghan army defeated Maratha.
On social media, many users say that the increase in “panipat operational unit” is a jingoistic effort by the Taliban to hate India.
The unit will be placed in Nangarhar, the area bordering Pakistan.
Some social media users praised the maintenance of the unit, while some others grabbed it, calling it from prod from Pakistan.
This new unit is part of a broader step initiated by the Taliban, where this country aims to have a forces of 110,000 members. This number will be raised further if needed, said Taliban Defense Minister (acting).
